Taking Some Time To Be Grateful

You probably can’t tell by looking at these photos but the day I took them started in the worst way. I won’t go into details but it was one of those days where everything that could go wrong did go wrong.

One of the reasons I love having creative friends is that I was able to schedule this shoot with my girl Briana and shooting with her instantly put me in a better mood.


I started to look on the bright side and I realized all the things I have to be grateful for like my career, my health, my family, and the good fortune I’ve had in my life so far.

When I put things into perspective and start being totally honest with myself I realize that I have way too much going for me to be a b-i-t-c-h for no reason. Today I’m taking a moment to be grateful for everything. When this post goes up I’ll be taking a mental health day. I answered all my emails and Boomerang will send them out, I finished every urgent work task, and I bought a few books.

I plan to spend the day meditating, journaling, reading, eating ice cream, and being grateful for this life that I’m living because I only get one and I shouldn’t waste it feeling sorry for myself.

Especially when I have nothing to complain about.
